It was announced Friday, June 7th that Knox County 2018 real estate tax bills have been sent out. Residents have several ways to make payments. Payments can be made at the Knox County Treasurer’s Office at the Knox County Courthouse Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Dropbox payments are collected at 8:30 am and are posted as the prior business day. Payments can be dropped off at drop-box locations at the courthouse either on the north side of the building or at the drop-box near the parking lot. You can make your payment online at the Knox County Treasurer’s website. You can make your payment by phone by calling 888-449-5738. You can also make your payment at any Knox County bank – except for Wells Fargo. Installment due dates are scheduled for July 8th and September 4th. Liability for payment cannot be waived per Illinois statutes. Knox County Treasurer Robin Davis says if you have not received your tax bill by June 14th to contact her office at 345-3811.
