The Macomb Investigations Office of the Illinois State Police is conducting an investigation into an alleged suicide attempt by a Fulton County Jail inmate.
On Friday, June 14th, Fulton County Sheriff Jeff Standard contacted ISP after jail staff discovered 24-year-old Justin L Mowrar was attempting to commit suicide and immediately performed lifesaving techniques, administering CPR.
He was transported to Graham Medical Center in Canton by Fulton County EMS and later airlifted to St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria where he continues to receive treatment for injuries sustained during the suicide attempt.
Mowrar was incarcerated at the Fulton County Jail on domestic battery charges.
