Geneseo man charged in federal court with child exploitation

A September 23rd trial has been scheduled for a Geneseo man on federal child sexual exploitation charges.

22-year-old Tristan Scott Blank is accused of employing, using, persuading, inducing, enticing, and coercing five minors to engage in sexually explicit conduct between April of 2016 and August of 2018, according to the indictment.

He was arrested and made his initial court appearance on Monday, July 22nd. He was arraigned on July 24th in federal court in Davenport, Iowa, before Chief U.S. District Court Judge Sara Darrow and ordered to remain in U.S. Marshal Service custody.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Alyssa A. Raya is prosecuting the case. The charges were the result of an investigation by the Geneseo, Colona, and Kewanee Police Departments, Illinois State Police, Henry County Sheriff’s Office, and U.S. Secret Service.
