A Rock Island County man facing drug charges made an appearance in Knox County Circuit Court Friday afternoon.

42-year-old Heath D. Williams of Moline made a video appearance on charges of Class X Meth Delivery between 15 and 100 grams, Class 1 Meth Possession between 15 and 100 grams, and Class 4 Possession of a Controlled Substance. His bond was set at $100,000 by Judge Scott Shiplett.

According to a Galesburg police report, officers learned that Williams, who had an Illinois Department of Corrections arrest warrant, was playing slot machines at 859 North Henderson Street on Thursday night at around 8:14.

The report indicates that officers were able to apprehend him with minor resistance. They searched him, allegedly finding several baggies of suspected drugs in his right side pockets.

The report notes that Williams denied any knowledge of the drugs or even possessing them, “Heath stated that he did not know anything about the drugs located on his person and that he did not have any drugs on him.”

In total, around 32 grams of what would field test positive for methamphetamine was confiscated by police. Additionally, officers found over 12 Hydrocodone pills.

Williams will be back in Knox County Court on August 12th.
