President/General Ulysses S. Grant Unfounded Reputation

Local historian Harry Bulkeley became interested in the Civil War the centennial recognition in the 1960s. He then gained particular interest in General Ulysses S. Grant. (Come to find out, that is not the former President and General’s real name.) Harry has even portrayed the General on a PBS special as well as a one man show. Harry joined Tom Meredith on “Galesburg Live” to talk about the life of Grant including where his unfounded reputation as a drunk came from.
