What used to be a celebration of the beginning of fall has become one that unofficially marks the end of summer. This is the 65th year for the Abingdon Community Festival, scheduled for August 22-25 at the Festival Grounds in Abingdon. Angie Wherley is the secretary on the festival’s board, and talks about it all with Will Stevenson on Galesburg’s Evening News.
