Knox County Board members will be deciding if they want to bid out the county’s engineering agreement later this month.
The Finance Committee Wednesday night discussed and approved to bid out their engineering service agreement, currently being fulfilled by Klingner and Associates.
Committee members emphasized that it wasn’t due to the work provided by Klingner’s Cody Basham but it was them doing their due diligence as county board members.
Committee members decided to bid out the engineering contract for a term of two-years.
The committee also approved to pay dues to the Western Illinois Regional Council to the tune of $5,485.20.
The committee spent a majority of their meeting in a closed session and when they went back into the open meeting, they tabled the approval of a compensation study for county employees.
