A rural Little York man is facing criminal charges after he allegedly caused a hit-and-run accident with a pedestrian almost a week ago.

The Warren County Sheriffs Department says 48-year-old Jeremi Jackson was arrested Sunday on charges of Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Failure to Report an Accident, and Failure to Give Aid. Officials say he’s jailed on $5,000 bond.

Jackson allegedly struck 18-year-old Kurtis Garnsey of Kirkwood. Garnsey was believed to be walking along the side of Route 135 near 200th Avenue in rural Monmouth last Wednesday night when Jackson, believed to be driving a pick-up truck, struck him.

Garnsey, sheriffs officials say, was treated and released from the hospital.
