Virginia L.  Doubet, 71, of Williamsfield, died at 6:25 p.m., Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 13 at Williamsfield Cemetery. Rev. Teri Shane will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 12 at Rux Funeral Home in Williamsfield. Memorials may be directed to the Dahinda United Methodist Church. She was born August 18, 1948, in Galesburg, the daughter of Cecil Lee and Mildred (Skinner) West. She married Gerald L. Doubet on July 26, 1969, in Dahinda. Survivors include her husband of Williamsfield, her son, Marcus (Becky) Doubet of Williamsfield, her brother, Roger West of Knoxville, three grandchildren; James (Carole) Doubet, Tyler Doubet, and Katelynn Doubet and three great-grandchildren; Rylee Doubet, Casen Peterson, and Lexi Doubet. She was preceded in death by her parents. Virginia graduated from Williamsfield High School in 1966 and attended Canton Community College. She had worked for the USDA for 5 years and for Williamsfield Schools until 1986. In 1988 she went to work for Dan Stevens Insurance Agency and later owned and operated the agency, retiring in 2012. She was a member of the Dahinda United Methodist Church. She was an “accidental Chicago Cubs fan” and enjoyed watching westerns and was very proud of her grandchildren.
