A Monmouth man with a felony conviction had his bond set in Warren County Circuit Court on weapon and drug charges.
41-year-old Brian E. Sage’s bond was set at $100,000 with ten percent, or $10,000, needed to be posted to get out of jail.
Sage is charged with four felonies, including Class X Armed Violence — the most severe charge. The other charges are all Class threes: Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.
Monmouth Police responded to the 1000-block of West 1st Avenue Friday morning around 9:45 for a report of an individual making the explosives threats.
Sage allegedly threatened officers with a road flare and additional flammable materials before being subdued and taken into custody.
He is scheduled to be back in Warren County Court on Tuesday, October 15th.
