The Galesburg Police Department may be close to making a change in leadership. The city is floating a proposal to eliminate the two captains positions department, and replace them with a Deputy Chief. The idea is still in the very early stages, however, according to Galesburg Police Chief Russ Idle. Idle talks with Will Stevenson on Galesburg’s Evening News.
