An employee of the Macomb Walmart is said to be recovering after being stabbed Thursday morning.
Macomb Police say it started around 8am at the Walmart on East Jackson Street in Macomb. Officers say they found the suspect — 43-year-old Duane Gosa, standing at a service counter. They later determined through security video Gosa and the employee got into one altercation in a restroom. The two got into a second altercation, where Gosa allegedly took the employee to the ground and threatened him with a knife and sat on his chest.
The employee had multiple bruises and two cuts to his left arm, and was taken to McDonough District Hospital for treatment.
Gosa, who also allegedly struggled with officers, is charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon, and Aggravated Assault, and was taken to the McDonough County Jail.
Police say other charges could be filed.
