Auditions for “The Importance of Being Earnest”

July 25, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

Oscar Wilde’s madcap farce about mistaken identities, secret engagements, and lovers’ entanglements is coming to Galesburg. Prairie Players Civic Theatre will be presenting the farce – full of rapid-fire wit and eccentric characters – at its theatre on South Seminary Street in September.

Auditions for the production are from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, July 25, and Tuesday, July 26. Director Kim Wakefield Bullis is looking to cast five men and four women, ages 18-70+, for the show. Auditions will be cold readings from the script. If you have never auditioned for Prairie Players, a brief resume will be helpful.

Auditions are also available by appointment for those who cannot make the scheduled audition times by contacting Wakefield Bullis at 309-368-8859 or wbranch@hughes.net.

The Important of Being Earnest production dates are September 16-18 and 23-25 at Prairie Players Civic Theatre, 160 South Seminary Street, Galesburg.
