Galesburg Airport Open House

In order to celebrate the 42nd Annual Air Race Classic, Jet Air & the Galesburg Municipal Airport will be hosting an Open House!
The Air Race Classic traces it’s roots to the 1929 Women’s Air Derby. This year, 55 teams from from 35 states and 5 foreign countries will fly 2,656 miles from Sweetwater, TX to Fryeburg, ME! Galesburg will be the 4th stop on the race!
During the Open House, Smokin’ Willies will be serving up BBQ and Knox Co. Brew Co. will be on hand to take care of your thirst! Jet Air will be giving aerial tours (starting at $25!) There will be vintage aircraft, jets, warbirds, experimentals and helicopters to see up close! Ms. Mariposa Monarch Bus will be out, as well as other kids activities! And of course, the Air Race Classic will be going on so hopefully you’ll get to see some high speed low passes over the airport!
The Open House is free of charge! Just come out, walk around, see some cool aircraft, grab a bite to eat and a drink while the kids get to play around with some aviation activities! See you there!
