Knox County Historical Museum is presenting “From Slavery to Freedom the Susan (Sukey) Richardson Story”

The Knox County Historical Museum is presenting “From Slavery to Freedom the Susan (Sukey) Richardson Story” Saturday, September 24th, at 2:00 p.m. at the Central Congregational Church in Galesburg. This play depicts the life and times of Susan (Sukey) Richardson from her flight from slavery, aided by the Underground Railroad, to freedom.

It is a tragic, but uplifting story, that should inspire all those attending. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and free for children 10 and under. Tickets are available at the door and at Allen Chapel, the Knoxville Public Library, and the Knox County Historical Museum in Knoxville.
