Sandburg Songbag Concert Series

The Songbag Concerts continues on Sunday, October 8 at Carl Sandburg State Historic Site Barn with a 4 p.m. performance of folk and popular music by the Galesburg band, No Reason.
No Reason performs from a diverse range of popular artists including Jackson Browne, Neil Young, The Eagles, Radiohead, Bonnie Raitt, Crowded House and Crosby Stills Nash and Young. Their playlist spans four decades and can be enjoyed by a listening audience of any age. No Reason even adds a bit of an “alt country” flavor to the playlist.
Carl Sandburg was a collector and performer of America’s folk songs. The series is named in honor of Sandburg’s book, The American Songbag, published in 1927.
The concert series is sponsored by the Carl Sandburg State Historic Site Association. A donation of $5 per person is suggested. Between sets refreshments will be served.
