The Knox County Area Partnership for Economic Development will be leading a How to Start Your Business in Knox County informational workshop on July 11th from 6-8pm hosted by Anderson State Bank, 111 US-34 in Oneida. This workshop will cover the steps to opening a new business including information on several topics such as financing and marketing. The goal is to help people understand what resources are available to them and who can help them get started. This is the first workshop being offered outside of Galesburg.
Kyle Kelley, Client Manager of KCAP, will be leading the workshop along with Jim Boyd from the Small Business Development Center at Western Illinois University. Noah and Bill Murdock, owners of Midwest Land Solutions, will be there to share their experience of starting a new business. Noah recently received the 2018 Young Entrepreneur of the Year Eagle Award. Combined, they are all full of knowledge on starting a business in Knox County and will be available for all questions relating to business ideas.
“There are many resources in Galesburg and Knox County that are available to anyone who is looking at starting a business here. KCAP welcomes and looks forward to working with entrepreneurs. It doesn’t matter how big or small your idea is, we are happy to help point you in the right direction,” said Kyle Kelley, Client Manager, Knox County Area Partnership for Economic Development
