Monmouth-Roseville Junior High School V.O.I.C.E. Program will present You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Friday, July 12, and Saturday, July 13, at 7:00pm in the Monmouth-Roseville High School auditorium.
M-RJHS V.O.I.C.E. Program sponsored this year’s production with funding from the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant, obtained by Superintendent Jodi Scott and the Regional Office of Education #33 staff. The show features students entering junior high through incoming ninth graders as an educational and creative opportunity for M-RJHS students. The musical is directed by M-RHS teachers Melissa Agar and Kevin Ferry.
Admission is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:30.
Based on Charles Schultz’s beloved Peanuts comic strip, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown follows the adventures of Charlie Brown and the gang as they face challenges and bask in life’s little pleasures in a series of songs and charming vignettes.
The cast includes Essence Brown (Frieda), Wesly DeFreites (Schroeder), Lexi Finnicum (Sally), Emma Ferry (Lucy), Molly Mattan (Snoopy), Hollis Narkiewicz (Linus), Collin Nuckles (Charlie Brown), Zoe Ortery (Marcie), Jennika Raymond (Violet), Ashley Theel (Patty), and Frankie Wise (The Blanket). Current M-RHS performing arts students Graham Young and John Mattan have served as mentors over the course of the rehearsal period with M-R alum Gelaine Vestal acting as technical director.
