Robbery Suspect Arraigned
FIRST REPORTED 3:00pm 1/10/13 One of the men accused of participating in a string of burglaries in Galesburg that began in October appeared in Knox County Circuit Court Thursday morning.

19-year-old Nino Pagan pleaded not guilty to two counts of burglary during an arraignment hearing.

Judge Paul Mangieri set a pre-trial date for March Fourth at nine a-m.

Pagan's attorney -- Public Defender Karl Johnson -- indicated there could be a plea deal before that date.

Pagan is being held at the Knox County Jail on 100-thousand-dollar bond. He was arrested in early December by Galesburg Police.

From October through December of last year a rash of car and garage burglaries hit Galesburg.

More than seventy burglaries were reported during that two month time period.

17-year-old Tyson Twichel was also arrested in connection to the burglaries--he was charged with two counts of burglary and bond was set at 20-thousand-dollars. He'll be in court in February.
