5 Arrested in Weekend Meth Lab Bust
Five people are arrested after Knox County prosecutors and law enforcement officials say the search of a vehicle and a home resulted in the discovery of a methamphetamine lab.

The five -- 49-year old Steven Cramer, 53-year old Randy Knotts, 36-year old Rhonda Schultz, 42-year old Joseph Jackson, and 30-year old Amanda Jo Davis all were arrested Saturday and made initial court appearances Monday.

Galesburg Police say a routine street patrol Saturday morning resulted in the discovery of a car leaving a home in the eight-hundred block of Abingdon Street. Schultz and Jackson allegedly occupied the car, and police say a search of the car with a K-9 turned up methamphetamine and a bucket with pseudoephedrine waste was discovered.

The Multi-County Narcotics Enforcement Group then obtained a search warrant for the home, which Knox County Assistant State's Attorney Sabrina Stroops says turned up an LP tank altered to have anhydrous ammonia in it, along with camping fuel, funnels, gloves, foil, air tanks,and other items.

All five subjects were given public defenders Monday. Cramer and Jackson will appear in court Wednesday, while Knotts, Schultz, and Davis all appear in court Friday morning.

Cramer faces four felony methamphetamine-related charges, and two felony weapons charges for guns allegedly found in the home.

Knotts faces five felony drug charges. Davis faces four felony meth charges, Jackson faces three charges, and Schultz faces a single charge.

Cramer's bond was set at $500,000, Knotts at $200,000, Schultz at $50,000, and the rest at $150,000.
