Robbery Suspect Makes Another Court Appearance
A Galesburg man will be back in court next Monday now that he's been seen in court for the first time with his attorney.

29 year old Nathaniel McPherrin made a brief court appearance this morning with his attorney, Public Defender Jim Harrell.

McPherrin was arrested last Thursday, and has been charged with Aggravated Robbery, Armed Robbery, and Theft.

Prosecutors claim he's a former employee of the Jimmy John's sandwich shop on East Main Street, and entered the store before it opened Thursday morning, displaying a gun, taking money, and forcing an employee into a refrigerator before leaving the scene.

McPherrin was arrested later at a house on Elm Street thanks in part to a CrimeStoppers tip, and prosecutors say he confessed to investigators.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for next Monday afternoon, at which time a judge will determine whether probable cause can be found.

McPherrin remains jailed in the meantime on a half million dollars bond.
