Architects for New Library Turn to Community for Input
The Galesburg Public Library Board held a special meeting Monday night so the community could meet and talk with the Architects from FEH.

FEH spent a little more than a hour talking with the community and going over their planning schedule.

Architect Kevin Eipperle explained to the crowd that by showing up for the meeting they're officially part of the Advisory Committee.

"Your role is just as it sounds, to provide advice," Eipperle told the crowd. "When we design libraries, we don't take your thoughts and then we go somewhere to do that; we do it right here, with you. We'll be setting up our office next week. We're here for two very long days, and we'll be asking you to participate with us and tell us what you want to see in your library."

Eipperle and his team went over some goals they put together of what they'd like to see incorporated into the design.

They then turned it over to the crowd to asked questions about layout and even sustainability and add ideas of what they thought the library need to have.

The Library Advisory Committee will have another meeting next week.
