Another Day of Testimony in Felony Sex Case
A Galesburg man was back in Knox County Court Wednesday for another day of testimony in a periodic trial where he's accused of molesting his girlfriend's young daughter.

28 year old Calvin Williams faces felony charges of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse and was in court for day two of a bench trial that started a few weeks ago.

Williams allegedly performed sex acts on his then-girlfriend's now-10-year-old daughter between 2012 and April of last year.

Observers viewed a forensic interview done at the Knox County Child Advocacy Center, where the girl identified Williams as the person she claims assaulted him, and described what he specifically did.

The victim also testified yesterday, but that was heard in Judge Scott Shipplett's chambers, outside the presence of the public and the media.

Cross-Examination of officials from the CAC, the Department of Children and Family Services, and a counselor centered partially on how the girl identified Williams -- either by his real name, or by the nickname "Fresh."

Testimony in the case will resume March 15th.
