BREAKING NEWS: One Arrested in Fatal Shooting Incident
FIRST REPORTED 9:34am, UPDATED 2:05pm 3/14/13 A Galesburg teenager is dead, and a man he was with prior to his death faces involuntary manslaughter charges.

Galesburg Police say 18-year old Isaiah Stevenson was pronounced dead at a local hospital early Thursday after he was discovered at 20-year old Cody Delacruz's home in the 400 block of Olive Street.

Police were called to the home just before 2am Thursday for a report of a person being shot. Knox County Assistant State's Attorney Elisa Tanner says friends were at the home performing CPR in the yard, where Delacruz was found.

Tanner says Delacruz -- who was described by friends as a gun enthusiast -- was allegedly showing off and pointing a Russian rifle when a so-called "Full Metal Jacket" round discharged, striking Stevenson.

Delacruz faces formal charges of Involuntary Manslaughter and Reckless Conduct.

Tanner asked for $250,000 bond Thursday afternoon, but Judge James Standard instead imposed a $100,000 bond instead, appointed Public Defender Jim Harrell to represent Delacruz, and set another court date for Monday at 11 am.

Tanner says the incident happened as Delacruz, Stevenson, and others at the home had been drinking.
