Charges Dropped in Parking Lot Meth Case
A Galesburg man no longer faces criminal charges for what was his alleged involvement in a methamphetamine lab found in downtown Galesburg in early January.

Knox County Circuit Court records indicate the case against 20-year-old Tyler Allbright was dismissed during a court hearing Thursday.

It's not clear why, but prosecutors reserved the right to file charges again at some point.

Allbright and 27-year old Corice Wright were in a car pulled over in the city parking lot across from the WGIL studios on East Simmons Street January fourth, when authorities say they allegedly discovered an anhydrous ammonia container, a box of pseudoephedrine pills, and a baggie containing suspected meth.

Allbright faced charges of Participaton in Methamphetamine Production, Possession of Meth-Manufacturing Chemicals, Possession of Anhydrous Ammonia, Possession of Anhydrous Ammonia in an Unauthorized Container, and Possession of Meth.

Wright, believed to be the passenger, has pleaded guilty to a single charge of possession of methamphetamine and is scheduled to be sentenced in June.
