Galesburg Nissan Dealer Shifting to Norther Henderson Street
On the heels of one Galesburg car dealership moving into a brand new facility, another will be occupying the facility being vacated.

Galesburg Nissan Owner Jeff Klinck announced live on the WGIL Morning News Tuesday his dealership would be moving from it's current North Broad Street position to the location Galesburg Toyota is leaving. This week, Galesburg Toyota-Scion will be opening a state-of-the-art building at Seminary Square Shopping Center.

Klinck tells WGIL moving into the more modern structure on North Henderson Street has been discussed for quite some time with owner Bob Lindsay.

"It's taken a long time, been talking with Mr. Lindsay for several months now," Klinck said. "But we've got a deal worked out and were working on getting all the 'I's' dotted and the 'T's' crossed. We have to have manufacturer's approval from Nissan. It will be a completely new look put on the building-- a new facade to comply with Nissan's brand and facility usage requirements."

Klinck says also it will provide more visibility for Nissan and double the space. He says there's just not enough room, especially for used vehicles, at the present location.

According to Klinck, there won't be any formal move-in before the middle of August because of the work needed to retrofit the facility with the Nissan name.
