Bond Reduction Denied for Man Accused of Theft
A Galesburg man accused in three separate thefts last year, including one that involved Knox College, has been denied a bond reduction in the case.

Knox County Circuit Court records indicate 49-year old Rory Jackson was denied a reduction Wednesday from a one-hundred-thousand dollar bond in the case. Jackson faces two-counts of residential burglary, and one-count of theft.

Jackson was arrested earlier this year, after authorities say he tried to steal items from a Tompkins Street home last August, along with two computers from the campus of Knox College.

Jackson also was wanted on charges stemming from March of last year when he allegedly stole a laptop computer and tried to give police officers a fake name, and again in July after he allegedly tried to steal two bottles of liquor from the Galesburg Hi-Lo grocery store.

A judge revoked the bond terms in the other two cases.

Jackson has pleaded not guilty, has Public Defender Jim Harrell representing him, and a Pre-Trial Hearing date of August sixth.
