Local Apartment Ransacked of Adult Toys
FIRST REPORTED 3:00pm 7/24/12 A Galesburg woman returned from a business trip Monday night to find her apartment ransacked of the sex toys she sells.

Police say they arrived at 23-year-old Tiara Likes' residence at 540 Iowa Avenue around 10:25pm Monday. Likes told authorities a pink bag containing her stash of adult toys was missing, and must have been stolen while she was away.

According to reports, Likes had been attending a Las Vegas convention to promote her adult business. Police say she informed her neighbors she'd be out of town, none of whom were able to provide information on any suspicious behavior at the home while she was gone.

Police suspect the alleged thief to have entered the apartment through an unlocked, west-side bedroom window. They say the burglar targeted the sex toys, as other valuables were not tampered with.

There are currently no suspects, and Likes tells police she's unaware of anyone who'd show interest in burglarizing her toy collection. The investigation is ongoing.
