Recent Guilty Pleas in 2011 Carjacking Case
Two people have pleaded guilty in the last week in connection with a carjacking case from 2011.

Knox County Circuit Court records indicate 21-year old Kione Moore and 21-year old Isaac Jeffires -- both of Chicago -- have pleaded guilty to felony charges of Obstruction of Justice, while Jeffries also has admitted to a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

In exchange for the pleas, both had charges of Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking, Armed Robbery, and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm dismissed. A drug charge against Moore was also dropped.

Moore, Jeffries, and three others were arrested in September of last year for stealing a man's car from his home on North West Street.

The car's owner was assaulted allegedly by 20-year old Rontonio Guterz, causing a gun believed to be in his possession to fire.

Kimble and Guterz are scheduled to be in court next Wednesday for hearings, while Williams pleaded guilty last month to a robbery charge and will be sentenced in September.

Moore and Jeffries were sentenced to two years in prison.
