Four Injured in Accident with Semi in Warren County
Four people were hurt after an accident with a semi in rural Warren County Monday afternoon.

State Police in Macomb Tuesday released details of the crash that was first reported around 3:30 Monday afternoon near Avon but in Warren County, at the intersection of 165th Street and 54th Avenue.

Troopers say a semi being driven by 57-year old Rodney Sickles of Avon went to make a turn at the intersection there, and stopped, but did not yield to a vehicle driven by 27-year old Rebecca Taylor of Avon, causing the two vehicles to collide.

Taylor and three children -- ages three, 8, and 10, were all taken to OSF Saint Mary Medical Center in Galesburg with what were described as moderate injuries.

Sickles was cited for Failure to Yield at a Stop Intersection. He was uninjured but both his semi and Taylor's van had to be towed from the scene. Both vehicles suffered damage, Taylor's van was described as having major damage.
