No Change in Fire Status at Galesburg Baked Goods Shop
Galesburg fire department officials say it's still status quo regarding the investigation into the weekend fire that destroyed the Wonder/Hostess outlet store and distribution facility in Galesburg.

Fire officials said Monday that crews continue to investigate the fire in the 1600 block of Grand Avenue that started up around 11 o'clock Saturday night.

The fire started in an office area and spread to the store, all but completely gutting it, but leaving a delivery vehicle area relatively undamaged.

Officials say there remains a lot to do in order to get closer to determining an official cause.

No one was hurt in the blaze, and it's believed that no one was inside at the time.

In the meantime, the parent company of Wonder/Hostess says they're going to make a comeback.

Company spokesperson Blynn Austin says the hope is that a new store will be able to open up in a couple weeks. It's not clear, however, where.

Hostess' parent company Monday announced that is has come to terms on changes to collective bargaining agreements with its Teamsters union employees nationwide, as the company tries to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
