Dogs Go Out for a Run Sunday
The Knox County Humane Society is giving the chance for local dogs to go outside and go for a nice run or walk Sunday for the 20th time.

The Humane Society's annual Doggie Jog takes place at the society's Hawthorne Center location Sunday.

Humane Society director Erin Buckmaster tells WGIL among the activities, the usual list of various contests for your pets, no matter what they look like.

"Even the ugliest dog," Buckmaster said. "We changed it to a 'Face Only a Mother Could Love,' but I've never seen an ugly dog. I love them all. That's one of our contests. We have the Biggest, Smallest, Owner Look-a-Like, and believe me, I look more like my coon hound every day. Talent contest, howling contest, and it's just fun."

Buckmaster says that's in addition to a 20th anniversary cake and lunch being available, a flea market, and a silent auction, and dog nail clipping also available.

Registration for the Doggie Jog is at noon Sunday, with the event itself starting at 1.
