The Tea Party Push in Galesburg
"One more thing"-- that was the theme of the Galesburg Tea Party Rally last night.

Committee member Beverly Nixon explained what they're looking for are people to take the extra step politically.

Nixon says people need to get involved even if it means just asking your neighbor who doesn't drive, if you can drive them to their polling place or dropping off literature in people's mail boxes about your candidates stand on the issues.

Nixon tells WGIL these extra efforts can be the key to finishing what they started in 2008

"We did such a wonderful job last time the Republicans came out so strong last time and truned a lot things around and that's what I really think we're hoping to do in 40 days again. To make people just aware of it's all about, what we're all about, that they need to think before they and they need to vote."

Nixon says one of the key issues the Tea Party is fighting for is fiscal responsibility.

She says we have to stop spending when we don't have enough coming in to pay the bills.

The Galesburg Tea Party currently has around 3-hundred members and it's steadily growing. They meet once a month at the library.
