More Than Just a Presidential Election
On November 6th people all over will flock to the polls to cast their vote for President but for the Cities of Abingdon and Avon--residents will have more than just president to vote for.

Superintendent of District 217 David Black tells WGIL what's at stake

"Question that will be on the ballot in both Avon and Abingdon is a proposed consolidation of the two districts into one."

Black says people have got to get out and vote if they want the two districts to come together.

He says a lot of people think the two districts work very well together and people assume the districts have already merged, but it wont be decided till after the election.

Black says the school board is behind the merge and is encouraging residents to get out and vote.
