U.S Cellular Expands in Galesburg
Today it's hard to get around without a cell phone and almost even harder if your phone doesn't have internet capability.

For many smartphone users they use their phones to do everything from watch movies to keeping an eye on stock options.

Today many smartphones run on the 4-G or 3-G networks.

Now Galesburg residents who have cell service with U.S Cellular now have the option to join the 4-G network.

Retail Area Sales Manager for U.S Cellular Scott Preston tells WGIL now that the 4-G L-T-E network is available in the area customer will have a whole new smartphone experience to look forward to.

"What 4G is going to do is provide a high-speed network to U.S. Cellular customers in Galesburg and the surrounding areas and their families," says Preston. "It's going to offer speeds that are 10 times faster than what they're currently experiencing with their 3G network."

Preston says costumers currently on their 3-G network have to buy a 4-G device in order to use the 4-G Network.

He says if you already have a 4-G device you should be able to use the Network right away.

Preston says if you're not sure if the device you currently have is 4-G compatible just had to the U-S Cellular store and anyone there can help you out.
