Deadline for Election Passes
The consolidated elections may not be until April, but the deadline for getting your name on the ballot was Wednesday evening.

Mayor Sal Garza is up for re-election this year and has two official challengers: Former Alderman Margaret Hall and local businessman John Pritchard.

Several alderman are facing challenges as well.

Second Ward Alderman Wayne Dennis is being challenged by Robert Bondi and Sixth Ward Alderman Wayne Allen will face off against Robert Miller and Bob Bainter.

The most contentious City Council race may be between Ward Four Alderman Corine Anderson and the man she unseated, Lomac Payton.

Other City positions up for re-election, City Clerk Kelly Bennewitz will run unopposed and Treasurer Marv Dahlberg will be challenged by current alderman Russell Fleming.
