Girls Basketball

Class 1A and 2A girls basketball teams in Illinois have just one week of the regular season remaining before beginning Regional play next week. It's a busy night around the area, with Knoxville traveling to Sherrard in what should be the best matchup of the evening. Elsewhere: Abingdon visits North Fulton; Monmouth-Roseville goes to West Hancock; United hosts Wethersfield; and ROWVA entertains Stark County. The Galesburg Silver Streaks girls are off until Thursday, when they will host United Township. That will be followed by a Saturday afternoon game with Winnetka New Trier at John Thiel Gym.

Both of the Galesburg Freshmen basketball teams will play tonight. The Silver Streaks girls go to East Moline, while the the Freshmen boys will host East Moline.

Also, the Galesburg girls bowling team is up against the rest of the field at the Western Big 6 Tournament in Milan.
