ISU Suspends Starting Guard Brown
NORMAL, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois State basketball coach Dan Muller has suspended starting guard Tyler Brown. It is the second suspension of a Redbirds player this season.

Muller said Wednesday that Brown is suspended indefinitely for what he called conduct detrimental to the team. He did not provide details, but said Brown hadn't lived up to the program's standards.

Brown has started all 16 games for the Redbirds (9-7) and is averaging 15.3 points a game.

Muller suspended sophomore guard Geoffrey Allen earlier this season. Allen was arrested on a warrant with a preliminary charge of selling marijuana. He has since returned to practice while he awaits court action, but hasn't played.

Muller is in his first season as Redbirds coach.
