Local Sports for January 12, 2013

The Galesburg Silver Streak Girls Basketball Team defeated Peoria High this morning by a final score of 64 to 29. The GHS Varsity Girls, now 15 and 6 on the season, take on Champaign Centennial tonight at 7:30 pm at Thiel Gym at the Martin Luther King Tournament. The GHS Girls Sophomore Basketball team shutdown Peoria today 53 to 14. The JV's season record is now 12-4. The GHS Girls Freshman BB team lost to Alleman 66 to 38 today. Their record is 5 and 6 and they play next at Richwoods on Monday.
