Girls Basketball
The Galesburg Silver Streaks girls basketball team will go for a season sweep of Quincy Thursday night when the Western Big 6 rivals meet in Adams County. Galesburg won the first meeting 75-67 in overtime, and will have to find a way to slow down Quincy's 6-foot, 4-inch center Jordan Fletcher if they want to beat the Blue Devils for a second time. The Silver Streaks are 15-7 overall, coming off of a loss to the state's second-ranked team Champaign Centennial on Saturday. Quincy is 10-9, and is also coming off of a 35-point loss to state power Quincy Notre Dame. Broadcast time is 6:40pm Thursday on WGIL.
The girls Lincoln Trail Conference Tournament moves into the semifinal round Thursday. On the championship side, top-seeded Annawan plays West Central while #2 seed Wethersfield plays Stark County. In the consolation bracket, ROWVA meets Mercer County and Galva plays Ridgewood.

Abingdon at B-PC/Avon Havana at Knoxville Rockridge at Monmouth-Roseville
The Galesburg Freshman girls game that was scheduled for Thursday at ROWVA has been cancelled.
College Basketball
The Carl Sandburg College men will go in search of another Arrowhead Conference win Thursday as they travel to Blackhawk. The Chargers are 11-5 on the season following Tuesday's win over Sauk Valley. Other sports
The GHS wrestling team is back on the mats Thursday evening as they go to Chillicothe IVC. And the Galesburg girls bowlers are at home to United Township at Northgate Lanes.
