Eastern Illinois 59 Holds off Northern Illinois 47
DEKALB, Ill. (AP)--Morris Woods had 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting, grabbed six rebounds and Eastern Illinois held off Northern Illinois for a 59-47 BracketBuster victory Saturday.

Eastern Illinois (9-20) led 27-25 at halftime but used an 11-2 run to begin the second half capped off by Alex Austin's 3-pointer with 16:07 to go and the Panthers never looked back.

The BracketBuster game saw 11 lead changes and five ties throughout the contest. Eastern Illinois led by as many as 13 points in the second half and out-rebounded the Huskies 37-28.

Josh Piper had nine points and grabbed eight rebounds for Eastern Illinois, which shot 45.2 percent from the field and was 16 of 25 from the free-throw line.

Abdel Nader led all scorers for Northern Illinois (5-20) with 17 points and pulled seven rebounds. The Salukis shot only 36.5 percent and were a dismal 4 of 20 from beyond the arc.
