Shawn's 18 points, 11 Boards place Utah State 80-71
LOGAN, Utah (AP)--Jarred Shaw recorded a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds to pace Utah State to an 80-71 victory over Illinois State in a BracketBusters game on Saturday night.

Utah State (16-13) also got 16 points from Spencer Butterfield, 13 points from TeNale Roland and 10 points from Marvin Jean. Roland hit three 3-pointers. Marcel Davis had eight assists.

Illinois State (19-7) was 11 of 32 from 3-point range, including 7 of 14 by Tyler Brown. He also had 10 rebounds.

Jackie Carmichael had 20 points and 10 rebounds for Illinois State.

Utah State had a 17-9 scoring advantage off turnovers and 19-5 edge in bench scoring.
