Woods, Eastern Illinois Top Tennessee-Martin 93-65
MARTIN, Tenn. (AP)--Morris Woods scored 18 points as Eastern Illinois won its third in its past four, downing Tennessee-Martin 93-65 in Ohio Valley Conference action Thursday night.

Woods was 6-of-9 shooting and 6 of 8 at the foul line, while Sherman Blanford had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Panthers (7-17, 4-7).

Austin Akers entered 16th nationally with a 2.7-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio and had eight helpers with no giveaways Thursday.

Eastern Illinois connected on a season-best 65.2 percent of its shots (30 of 46) and knocked down 63.2 percent (12 of 19) from 3-point range. The Panthers also had a season-best 23 assists and committed just 12 turnovers.

Myles Taylor led the Skyhawks (6-17, 3-8) with 19 points, with Terrence Smith pitching in 11 and Justin Childs and Mike Liabo scoring 10 each.

Eastern Illinois used a 14-4 run for a 21-12 advantage midway through the first half.
