Streaks baseball to play for Regional title
The Galesburg Silver Streaks baseball team won their IHSA Class 3A Regional Baseball opener @ Jim Sundburg Field today. They shut out the Richwoods Knights 7-0. It was the third time the teams met this season with GHS winning two of three. Carson Cheesman started and picked up the win. He struck out 7 in 6 innings of work. The Streaks will play for the Regional title Saturday morning at 11 against the winner of tonight's game between Dunlap and Peoria Notre Dame. The Galesburg Regional winner moves on to the LaSalle Peru Sectional next Wednesday versus the winner of the Yorkville Regional.
