HS Football Rankings

This week's Illinois high school football polls saw very little change at the top, as Mercer County continues to rule class 2A, while the Alleman Pioneers are near unanimous at the top of class 4A. Those Pioneers will be in town Friday night to play the Galesburg Silver Streaks.

Alleman ended up beating Quincy 35-7.

The rest of this week's ratings show Stark County moving into the #8 spot in Class 1A, Elmwood-Brimfield is #5 in Class 3A, and Rock Island checks in at #7 in Class 6A.

Volleyball

Tonight's area volleyball schedule is light, with just a couple of varsity matches on the docket, as ROWVA travels to United, and Galva goes to West Central. Tomorrow, Galesburg returns to action as the Streaks will host United Township.
