Tonight's Sports Schedule

Golf The Galesburg girls golf team has qualified for next week's Sectional Tournament by placing second at yesterday's LaSalle-Peru Regional. Jessica Leiber led the way with a tournament-best round of 76, as she won her third career regional championship. Jordan Kohler added an 88 for the Streaks, who advanced to Monday's sectional in Normal. Moline won yesterday's event by 20 strokes. Volleyball The volleyball schedule shows most of the area high school teams will see action tonight, including the Galesburg Silver Streaks who travel to Rock Island. Also on the road tonight: Abingdon travels to Beardstown and United goes to Princeville. Teams on their home court this evening include Monmouth-Roseville hosting Southeastern, and ROWVA welcoming West Central. Football Week #7 of the high school football season finds (4-2) Galesburg preparing to play at (5-1) Rock Island tomorrow night. We'll have the broadcast following the St. Louis Cardinals baseball playoff game at Atlanta. Elsewhere on the area high school football schedule for tomorrow: Knoxville hosts Rushville; Mid-County goes to West Central; Abingdon entertains Bushnell-Prairie City/Avon; Monmouth-Roseville has a tough one at Rockridge; and United stays at home to battle Princeville.
