Rochester Defeats Alleman for 4A Title
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) -- Quarterback Austin Green ran for 130 yards and threw for 172 more in leading Rochester to a 43-18 victory over Rock Island Alleman for the IHSA Class 4A football championship.

Green on Friday scored twice on the ground and hooked up twice with receivers as the Rockets (13-1) won their third-consecutive state title. Green scored on runs of 17 and 22, as Rochester powered its way to a 28-12 lead.

John Tracey brought Alleman (12-2) to within one score with a one-yard run with 90 seconds left in the first half. But Green struck again with a 16-yard pass to Blake Pasley before the break.

Sean Wetherell ran for 121 yards and a score and Adam Hoogerwerf rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown for Alleman.
