Schedule About to Take Tough Turn for Bears
LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP)--The Chicago Bears breezed through the first half of their schedule. Now, it's time to buckle down.

The Bears are in good shape at the moment leading the NFC North at 7-1, but the schedule is about to take a tougher turn.

Houston visits Sunday night in a matchup of two of the league's best teams, and then comes a game at San Francisco next week.

To that, coach Lovie Smith says, bring it on.

He says the Bears "embrace this national stage" and insists they haven't peaked.

They sure looked good dismantling Tennessee, scoring their most points since 1980 on their way to a 51-20 win that saw Charles Tillman force four fumbles.
