High School Basketball

Tuesday night means boys high school basketball, and some of the games on the schedule for tonight include:

ROWVA at Knoxville
Abingdon at Beardstown
Illini West at Monmouth-Roseville
Havana at United

In girls basketball, the Galesburg Freshmen will play for the second straight night, as they host the Alleman Pioneers. Last night, the freshmen girls lost to United Township 41-21.

Wrestling

The Galesburg wrestling team will have a tough matchup tonight, as they host Geneseo and Limestone.

College Basketball

Both of the local Division III colleges will host men's and women's Midwest Conference basketball games tonight. In Galesburg, Knox will battle the Cornell Rams. The Prairie Fire men will be looking for their first win under new coach Kevin Walden, but Cornell comes to town off of a win over conference favorite St. Norbert. The Rams are 2-2. Meanwhile in Monmouth, the Fighting Scots host Grinnell. The Monmouth women are 6-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play. Grinnell also is 2-0 in the league. In the men's game, Monmouth faces an uphill battle against the high-scoring Pioneers, who are 5-1 overall. The Fighting Scots enter the contest at 1-3 for the season.
