Boys Basketball

The Galesburg boys basketball team will make it's 2nd Western Big 6 roadtrip in as many weeks tonight when the Silver Streaks play at Quincy. Coach Mike Reynolds team enters the game with a record of 4-3, with losses coming to powerful opponents Limestone, Westinghouse, and Metamora. Tonight, the Streaks will be tested by the Blue Devils, who are 4-1, after beating United Township in their conference opener last week. Galesburg also won it's initial conference matchup at Moline. Broadcast time is scheduled for 7:10 tonight with Brad Bennowitz and Jim Lee here on WGIL.

Monmouth-Roseville at Macomb
South Fulton at Knoxville
Williamsfield at Kewanee Wethersfield


Girls Basketball

In girls basketball, Galesburg is preparing for a tough challenge tomorrow against Maine South. The Silver Streaks will be on the road for the first time this season, as they travel to Park Ridge for the game Saturday afternoon. Broadcast time will be at about 2:10 tomorrow with Tom Meredith and Erik Gibson here on WGIL. The Silver Streaks girls will head to the Chicago area with a record of 7-2, following last night's 86-78 setback at the hands of Rock Island.
